Resolved
- Our hero is traveling through time in a broken time machine. He has been called from the future to fight a war. We discussed the possiblity of the gods playing havoc with Odysseus's return by turning random objects into "port-keys" by which he travels to a new time.
- Our hero's name is Perry Green, a homonym for the name Peregrine, which we learned means Wanderer.
- Our hero's wife is named Hally May, a homonym for the name Halima, which is Arabic for Patient.
- Our hero's son is named Marcus or Markus (spelling to be determined) which both sounds like Telemachus and also has a similar meaning.
- Naomi will be writing the first chapter.
- Tali will be writing the last chapter.
- Perry is a history professor at Emory University
Factors to Determine
Which war is our Odysseus coming back from?
What's our Odysseus's name?
- What countries or places will he visit?
- What sorts of monsters/creatures will he encounter?
What will happen to his crew? He doesn't have a crew
Who will write the first chapter and set the scene?
Who will write the final chapter and tie up all the loose ends?
What order will we write our chapters in (who is writing 1, 2, 3, etc. up to 13)?
- How will we work in our understanding of Homer's Odyssey by using similar style (such as epic similes)?
